Motivation

Metal forming processes such as open-die forging suffer from the lack of non-destructive quality assurance methods. Therefore, innovative methods are needed to avoid defects and increase the quality of the products throughout the process.

Goals

  • Research, investigate, implement, and evaluate a learning-based approach for the decision support system that increases the qualtiy of the end product.

What we expect:

  • Knowledge of Python
  • Knowledge of Matlab
  • Basic knowledge of Machine learning
  • Basic knowledge of deep-learning frameworks (e.g., Keras, tensorflow)
  • Version control tools (git)
  • Ability and willingness to learn
